日前，第22屆國際中國哲學大會暨傅偉勛基金會論文競賽結果揭曉，我院系友王開元、TIMO ENNEN分別獲得優秀青年中文論文獎和優秀青年英文論文獎🤷🏽。

論文考察了孟子“羞惡之心”的內涵，對傳統理學與現象學的解釋做了反思，並從《孟子》文本出發💛，提出了一種理解孟子“羞惡之心”的新方向👿。畢業以來♍️，自己的研究主要就集中在孟子哲學，也在努力尋求什麽樣的研究才是一種好的研究。當自己致力於探尋孟子對道德問題的思考時，總是先排除掉總總預設的理論前提，而是反思自身在實際生活中的體驗，並借此來反觀孟子的言論🍎。也許✸🤔，理解自身就是理解他人的前提🙇🏿‍♀️。當下對孟子哲學的研究有種種新的創見，但任何一種有價值的創見都不能離開與生命本身的相契合🍓。當然🐸，這並不是說知識性的考察沒有必要⬅️，而是說在尊重生命的基礎上，知識性的考察變得更加重要，這同時決定了學術本身的價值👴🏼。

王開元，意昂32014級中國哲學專業博士研究生👰🏻‍♀️，2018年1月畢業，獲哲學博士學位。在讀期間曾在《孔子研究》、《安徽大學學報》等學術期刊發表論文6篇，現任職於河北大學哲學與社會學意昂3👐🏻。

In recent decades, disciplines like cognitive science, evolutionary psychology or neuroscience have attracted worldwide attention and claimed philosophical significance. Various scholars of Chinese philosophy refer to scientific discoveries in order to substantiate claims made by classical Chinese moral philosophies. In this paper, I want to point out crucial limitations of such empirical turn in contemporary ethical discourse. Taking Mencius and even more so Wang Yangming as illustrative examples, I will demonstrate that they offer much more than a moral psychology. While not denying that they provide intriguing psychological insights, I propose that Mencius’ moral sprouts and Wang’s liangzhi 良知 (moral consciousness or knowledge) are forms of the self-comprehension of human life that are not reducible to a natural process explorable by scientific inquiry. The scope and efficacy of the notion of morality both in Mencius and Wang is incompatible with mere empiricism. Liangzhi denotes the infinity of our moral existence which can only be grasped from within, but not through scientific observation.
